I consider that immigrants instead of stealing or harming Americans in terms of their jobs, are contributing to the economic development. According to Peri, an economist of California, “Immigrants push native-born workers into better-paying positions”. This means that foreign workers do the low-pay jobs, and leave new job opportunities for Americans. I believe immigrants are not harmful to the economic development of America. (63)

Reaction

A fair immigration reform would benefit illegal immigrants as well as the United States. With an immigration reform all immigrants would have to pay taxes to the government, and this would help our economy. At this moment our economy is not in a healthy condition. This situation is affecting many people who are unemployed since businesses have moved to other countries where labor is cheaper.(65)
